The Intermediate Arrest, Search, and Seizure Course is designed to provide additional information on this subject area.  This course is required for Intermediate certification.

The course is designed to align officers to current laws and court proceedings regarding probable cause, search warrants, and arrests. Students will learn about the proper procedures and use of probable cause, how to prepare and use search warrants, and how to detain and arrest individuals. Criminal court processes, civil liability, and juvenile justice procedures are also covered in the course.

Student must bring a laptop or tablet to this class.

Cancellation Policy

Students needing to withdraw from a course should contact academy staff at (210) 362-5291 or [email protected] no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the class. Failure to do so may result in a 25% cancellation fee. Repeated violations of the 72 hour cancellation policy may result in restricted ability to register for future courses.
