This course is required for individuals desiring to obtain Basic Telecommunicator Certification.  The purpose of this block of instruction is to provide the Telecommunicator with an understanding of situations encountered in an emergency communications environment and the basic skills necessary to interact with callers in crisis.

Cancellation Policy

Students needing to withdraw from a course should contact academy staff at (210) 362-5291 or [email protected] no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the class. Failure to do so may result in a 25% cancellation fee. Repeated violations of the 72 hour cancellation policy may result in restricted ability to register for future courses.
