It is REQUIRED to have a minimum of two years’ experience as a peace officer, telecommunicator, or jailer; OR a bachelor’s degree and two years of teaching experience; OR a graduate degree. This course is for students who are in Law Enforcement, however students not in the law enforcement field will NOT be able to take the Basic TCOLE Instructor Course.
It is required to bring a laptop with Word and Powerpoint to class.
* For the Basic Instructor Courses, students are required to wear either department dress uniform or business casual attire.
