Per TCOLE rules, it is REQUIRED to have a minimum of two years’ experience as a peace officer, telecommunicator, or jailer to take this course. No exceptions.

It is required to bring a laptop with Word and Powerpoint to class. 

* For the Basic Instructor Courses, students are required to wear either department dress uniform or business casual attire.

Cancellation Policy

Students needing to withdraw from a course should contact academy staff at (210) 362-5291 or [email protected] no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the class. Failure to do so may result in a 25% cancellation fee. Repeated violations of the 72 hour cancellation policy may result in restricted ability to register for future courses.

Agency Discounts
