COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

The student will be able to:

  • Interpret the Spanish words & phrases that may signal danger as they are spoken within a conversation during a simulated response;
  • Pronounce Spanish words;
  • Use gender & number agreement in Spanish;
  • Identify him/herself in Spanish;
  • List the Myths & Stereotypes about Hispanic Americans;
  • Know the difference between Alpha Commands & Beta Commands using the Spanish language; and
  • Using a student handout, or some type of field aid, the student will be able to use vocabulary & phrases in verbal exchanges related to traffic offenses to provide & obtain information & to calm a traffic accident victim.

Students needing to withdraw from a course should contact academy staff at (210) 362-5291 or [email protected] no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the class. Failure to do so may result in a 25% cancellation fee. Repeated violations of the 72 hour cancellation policy may result in restricted ability to register for future courses.
